Great story Trent!

I can relate to most of it with my boys - we had 2 natural births (although it didn't even seem natural at the time!).

I liken the first few days as the "Days of Daze"....where you're just saying 'yep' and nodding a lot when the nurses speak to you simply because your brain is still going through the "Oh Sh*t Oh Sh*t Oh Sh*t Oh Sh*t" phase. You somehow take most of it in but not consciously.

Years into things it all just becomes normal, and you seem to forget the bad bits - I think checking on them before going to bed is the priceless part of it :-)

What a wonderful story about fatherhood, Trent. I'm glad you shared as you just seem like the most confident father at coffee mornings with your little angel.

Your babies (and you) are beautiful and I'm glad you wrote this for Man Week.

Cheers,
kristin

You know, I thought there would be more of these stories coming out as part of ManWeek (becoming a dad). It is interesting to see what resonates for all of us. Nice one, Trent.
