I can relate to most of it with my boys - we had 2 natural births (although it didn't even seem natural at the time!). I liken the first few days as the "Days of Daze"....where you're just saying 'yep' and nodding a lot when the nurses speak to you simply because your brain is still going through the "Oh Sh*t Oh Sh*t Oh Sh*t Oh Sh*t" phase. You somehow take most of it in but not consciously. Years into things it all just becomes normal, and you seem to forget the bad bits - I think checking on them before going to bed is the priceless part of it :-) Great story Trent!
